How To Put The Novritsch SSG10 A1 Together

Putting together the SSG10 A1 is very simple it probably took 10 minutes to attach the stock, barrel, and scope, and was ready to shoot. To put the barrel on the stock you only need three screws. These screws come with the gun along with the Allen wrenches to install them.

  • The longest screw goes just behind the trigger guard.
  • A medium size screw goes in the middle behind the magazine
  • The smallest screw goes just in front of the magazine.

That’s it!

Novritsch SSG10 A1 Review: Fit and Feel

The first thing you’ll notice with this gun is how light it is, at 4.4 lbs it’s featherlight. It’s light because it’s made mostly of synthetic plastic, but it feels high-quality. The synthetic stock feels slightly rubberized which makes it feel like it’s quality and provides a better grip.

The recoil pad is made of a hard rubberized plastic with large grips. Since airsoft guns don’t have any recoil it does not need to be soft rubber and the grips on the recoil pad provide great traction so your gun does not slip around on your shoulder when mounted.

Novritsch SSG10 A1 Customizability & Mobility

Is The SSG10 A1 VSR10 Compatible?

Yes, Novritsch made it a point to make the SSG10 sniper rifles compatible with the VSR10 platform for ultimate customizability.

Novritsch SSG10 A1 vs A2

Internally, there is no difference between the SSG10 A1, SSG10 A2, or SSG10 A3. The Novritsch SSG10 A2 has a lot of external adjustability benefits over the SSG10 A1, so it is 100$ more expensive than the A1. The adjustability in combination with the great performance of the SSG10 A2 makes it an excellent sniper rifle as well. The external adjustability of the A2 includes:

  • Adjustable Cheek Rest
  • Adjustable Length of Pull (LOP)
  • M-Lok Rails for Mounting Accessories

However, with the increased adjustability you will also get a heavier gun (6 lbs). The SSG10 A1 only weighs 4.4 lbs which is about 27% lighter, making them great for running and gunning and all-day use.

You can start with SSG10 A1 and then purchase the SSG10 A2 stock to turn your A1 into an A2 without having to buy an entirely new gun.

Novritsch SSG10 A1 vs A3

Again, internally there is no difference between the SSG10 A1, SSG10 A2, or SSG10 A3. The Novritsch SSG10 A3 has a lot of external adjustability benefits over the A1 and the A2, so it is 130$ more expensive than the A1.

The adjustability, compactness, weight, and great performance of the SSG10 A3s also make it one of the best airsoft snipers.

With the A3 you’re basically getting the best of both worlds, you get the A1s weight and A2s adjustability.

  • Adjustable Cheek Rest
  • Adjustable Length of Pull (LOP)
  • M-Lok Rails for Mounting Accessories
  • Foldable Compact Stock
  • Lightweight Skeleton Frame (4.4 lbs)

Novritsch SSG10 A1 Durability & Reliability Review

My first impressions indicate that this gun is going to last. I’ve owned cheap airsoft sniper rifles in the past that don’t hold up, this gun feels like it will last.

Additionally, the 25-year parts warranty gives me a lot of confidence in the durability and reliability of the SSG10 A1.

How Far Can The SSG10 A1 Shoot?

There are four springs you can buy for the SSG10 sniper rifles. These springs vary in the amount of power they have. The most powerful is the M220 spring which can reach speeds of 700 FPS. With this spring you can shoot out to 100+ yards in good conditions! With the correct BBs and hop-up adjustments, this airsoft gun has impressive range.

How Accurate Is The SSG10 A1?

The SSG10 A1 is very accurate when set up correctly because of its tight tolerances and high-quality internals. You will want heavy sniper BBs that are appropriate for the power of the spring you are using. The adjustable hop-up also is key for dialing in your accuracy. With the right settings, it should be no problem to shoot out to 75 yards and hit a human-sized target, even 100 yards in good conditions.

I have the M160 Spring (2.8 Joules) in my SSG10 A1 so the 0.46g BBs are perfect. I also have a spare M150 spring (2.2 Joules). If I put that spring in I will need to buy 0.43g BBs to get the best accuracy.

Novritsch BB Guidelines For Different Springs

How Fast Can The SSG10 A1 Shoot?

The speed will be determined mostly by the springs you buy for your gun (they are replaceable) and how heavy your BBs are. Below is a list of the different springs available for the SSG10 A1 and how fast they will shoot .20g BBs (which is the standard measurement).

With heavier sniper BBs they will not go as fast but will have a lot of hitting energy.

  • M90 Spring – 330 FPS (with .20g BBs)
  • M150 Spring – 460 FPS (with .20g BBs)
  • M160 Spring – 500 FPS (with .20g BBs)
  • M220 Spring – 700 FPS (with .20g BBs)

Does The Novritsch SSG10 A1 Come With A Scope?

No, the SSGA1 does not come with a scope. However, you can purchase the SSGA1 bundle which includes a sniper scope, magazine, and sniper BBs. The Novritsch scope is great for the price (under 100$), it’s really all that you need for airsoft.

As a hunter, I’ve tried, used, and reviewed real rifle scopes and I will say that there are better scopes for under 150$ with lifetime warranties. The Burris Fullfield E1 3-9×40 (non-illuminated) and the Vortex Crossfire II (Illuminated) would be excellent options for airsoft.

Novritsch SSG10 A1 Considerations and Recommendations

Bolt Hitting Safety Mechanism

Be aware of the safety mechanism when using the bolt because when you’re pushing the bolt forward to rack another BB into the chamber, the bolt can hit the safety and even push the safety off so that the gun is ready to fire.

You can completely avoid this by keeping the bolt in the upward position when racking another round.

As I mentioned, it may be in your best interest to save up and buy a real rifle scope (for under 150$) to get a lifetime warranty and better quality. However, the Novritsch one 3-9×50 is a good budget option.

Is Novritsch A Good/Reputable Airsoft Brand?

Novritsch is one of the best airsoft brands on the market because they are hardcore airsoft players themselves so they are familiar with the ins and outs of airsoft gameplay. This allows them to get the details right when making products.

They also design products that will last, they even offer a 25-year spare parts warranty on some of their products, like the SSG10 sniper rifles. Many other airsoft manufacturers make guns that do not last so it’s nice to know a brand you can trust. This makes their products worth the money.

Novritsch SSG10 A1 Review Final Thoughts

Hopefully you found this Novritsch SSG10 A1 review helpful, it’s an all-around amazing airsoft sniper rifle for the money. The price, in combination with how easy it was to set up and install, makes it one of the best budget airsoft sniper rifles.

Once I put it together I was shooting out to ~75 yards very accurately out of the box. Hitting a small tin can at 30 yards was no problem for this sniper. The .46g BBs with the hop-up right in the middle was perfect. I think with a little fine-tuning I’ll be able to hit a human-sized target at 100 yards quite accurately.
